Peter tells his sons that he's ready to retire and for them to take over operation of the Lighthouse. Jason and Scott are not thrilled with the idea--until Dad tells them they'll get a 50% share of the profits. Lisa, working there as a waitress, is appalled at the prospect. At first Peter is happy fishing and planning trips to other countries, but he finds that the boys are so absorbed in improvements and promotions for the Lighthouse that they have no time for him. He tries to get information from Lisa on what's going on at his restaurant. The brothers start a ""Nighthouse"" dance club after hours. Even though he still owns the place, security won't let Peter in at first. An inebriated patron starts trouble and soon a full-fledged brawl has broken out, wrecking the Nighthouse/Lighthouse. The brothers and their father both want to return to the old way of running the family business, but neither side wants to be the first to say it.
