Per non lasciare solo Fluttershy a sostenerla, Twilight raggiungono la città tramite gli incantesimi dell'unicorno. A causa di uno di essi a Rarity crescono delle bellissime ali da farfalla che attirano l'attenzione di tutti i pegasus pony e la sua vanità la porta a partecipare anche lei alla gara facendo così ancora più innervosire Rainbow Dash. Durante la gara però Rarity esagera e le ali si sciolgono e solo l'intervento di Dash la salva (insieme ai Wonderbolts che avevano tentato di intervenire) riuscendo a compiere un arco-boom sonico e vincendo così la gara.
