According to cartoon historian Jerry Beck, this cartoon got Howard Post fired from his job as head of Paramount's cartoon studio. The reason was that he was making fun of a Biblical story (that of Noah's Ark). Beck speculates that the straw that broke the camel's back was a gag in which duck Quacky Whack impersonated God.
