"Power" tells the story of James St. Patrick, a ruthless, intelligent drug dealer under the street name "Ghost", who wishes to leave the criminal world to pursue legitimate business interests as a nightclub owner. He aims to balance these two lives, while avoiding police capture amid a crumbling marriage and shifting economic alliances. Following the success of "Power," created by Courtney A. Kemp and executive produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, its universe will be expanded with three additional distinctive, gripping chapters that will have audiences captivated for years to come following the conclusion of the mothership series. "Power" has been one of the most successful series in premium pay television during its six-year run, garnering more than 10 million multiplatform views in its last two seasons. In addition to "Power Book II: Ghost," which picks up where the original series leaves off and stars world-renowned recording artist and Oscar nominee Mary J. Blige as well as several members of the original "Power" cast, a prequel and two spin-off sequels have also been greenlit. "Power Book III: Raising Kanan" is the prequel story that takes viewers back to the '90s and the early years of iconic "Power" character Kanan Stark. "Power Book IV: Influence" will follow Rashad Tate (played by Larenz Tate) in his ruthless pursuit of political power. "Power Book V: Force" will take fans on a ride-along with Tommy Egan (played by Joseph Sikora) after he cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good.
