Hit and Run at Danny's

Eine Freundin von Quincys Lebensgefährtin wird beschuldigt, vor Dannys Bar einen Mann angefahren und Fahrerflucht begangen zu haben. Der Barbesitzer bittet Quincy um Hilfe: Denn laut Gesetz ist er mitschuldig an dem Unfall. Er hätte die Betrunkene nicht mehr fahren lassen dürfen und fürchtet nun die Schließung seiner Bar.

Outside Danny's bar a man is the victim of a hit and run. The woman driving, or thought to be driving, the vehicle was Robbi Parker. She was a friend of Quincy's current girlfriend, Jenny. Danny wants Quincy's help because a new Californian law means that if he served Robbi drinks and allowed her to leave drunk he could be closed down. Quincy examines the body and finds out that Robbi had had extensive plastic surgery, it also seems as if she didn't exist up until four months ago!

L'hostess Robbie Parker, nel lasciare il locale di Danny, viene avvicinata da alcuni uomini armati. Poco dopo viene ritrovato il cadavere di Robbie. L'autopsia indica che la donna si trovava al limite dell'ubriachezza. Quincy tenta di dimostrare che Robbie non era al volante, ma i suoi sforzi sono ostacolati da alcuni agenti federali e da Janet Martin. Costei sostiene che lei e la defunta erano bersagli di un'organizzazione criminale.
