    Drama set in France during the Second World War and based on true events. On Armistice Day, teenager Lili is caught by the police laying flowers at the foot of a hero’s statue. This triggers a string of events that sees her thrown together with like-minded students opposing German occupation. Meanwhile, a small group of committed rebels secretly joins forces to produce a newspaper called Resistance. Lili and her friend `The Kid’ undertake the dangerous job of distributing copies and begin to fall in love.

    Lili and The Kid narrowly escape being arrested by the Gestapo and discover that there’s a traitor in their group. With nowhere else to turn, they are forced to hide at the only safe house they know: the local brothel. The Kid professes his love for Lili and they spend a passionate night together dreaming that the war is over. The next day, Lili undertakes another dangerous mission, travelling south to Lyon to deliver a suitcase full of copies of the next edition of Resistance. But on her return, her triumph is short-lived when she sees Boris, the leader of their group, arrested by the Germans. The traitor has betrayed them again

    Lili joins a new resistance group led by Fredo, a 21-year-old communist, who trains her to use guns, knives and grenades. When the group meets for a street demonstration, she narrowly escapes capture by the Germans, but this time The Kid is not so lucky. Lili visits him in prison, but doesn’t know whether she will see him again when he is tried and sentenced to death by firing squad.
