The Pilot (2)

Bei der Umsetzung von Jerrys Sitcom gibt es viele Probleme - vor allem die Besetzung der Rollen macht Schwierigkeiten. Zu allem Übel scheidet auch noch Russell von NBC aus dem Leben. Doch schließlich wird die Pilotsendung doch noch aufgezeichnet und tatsächlich gesendet - und auch gleich wieder von Russells Nachfolgerin abgesetzt...

Rehearsals for the pilot begin. Russell's obsession with Elaine begins to affect his work. George asks TV Kramer about the raisins. The real Kramer might be forced to work on his plumbing problem by using the "dreaded apparatus." Elaine gets an investigation started on the owner of the diner. George gets the results of the biopsy of his white spot. At the taping of the pilot, Elaine sneaks in disguised and "Crazy" Joe jumps out of the audience. Elaine finds Morty's wallet in Jerry's couch. Everyone from the past season comments on the pilot as it's broadcast, they all think it's great. When Russell disappears, the fate of the pilot is in the hands of the new president, a person convinced that Jerry can't act.

Lors du tournage du pilote de "Jerry" George est en désaccord avec l'acteur jouant le rôle de Kramer. Jerry doit faire face à l'actrice jouant le rôle d'Elaine qui est pour le moins dérangée. Russell, toujours autant épris d'Elaine, tente par tous les moyens de la conquérir.

Mientras los ensayos para el rodaje del episodio piloto siguen progresando, la obsesión de Russel por Elaine empieza a afectar su trabajo. Joe el loco reaparece en pleno rodaje. Mientras, Elaine continúa su investigación sobre un café en el que sólo contratan a camareras tetudas.

Começa a gravação do piloto. A obsessão de Russel por Elaine começa a afetar o trabalho. Elaine está mais preocupada em descobrir o “mistério” do café e investiga o dono do estabelecimento. George confronta o ator que interpreta o Kramer. O desaparecimento de Russel pode acabar com o sonho de Jerry e George.
