Když Doktor zjisí, že se vůdce hologramů rozhodl zmasakrovat Hirogeny, dojde mu, že udělal chybu, a pomůže ho Voyageru porazit.

Iden, der Anführer der Hologramme, holt auch noch Torres gegen ihren Willen auf sein Schiff. Er will ihr Wissen über Holotechnologie nutzen, da die Hologramme auf der Suche nach einem neuen Planeten sind. Dabei verspricht er Torres und dem Doktor, dass sie jederzeit mit der Rettungskapsel auf die Voyager zurückkehren können. Doch schon bald stellt sich heraus, dass Iden nicht nur gute Absichten hegt. Es kommt zum erbitterten Endkampf zwischen Hirogen und Hologrammen ...

Stardate: 54337.5 - Voyager secretly trails two Hirogen ships in pursuit of the renegade hologram ship. Iden, the band's self-appointed leader, begins showing signs of delusional behaviour when he considers himself as the 'saviour of his people', and believes that his people will worship him as a God in their new settlement. With Voyager and the Hirogen ships trailing close behind, the Doctor and Torres must find a way to disable the ships and the holograms before they come under attack from the Hirogen, and before Iden can execute his plan.

Data Stellare 54337.5: Dopo che il Dottore si è unito agli ologrammi, B'Elanna viene rapita con lo scopo di farla lavorare al loro nuovo emettitore olografico. Il leader dei fuggitivi ha come obiettivo la liberazione di tutti gli ologrammi schiavizzati dagli organici e la creazione di una nuova civiltà olografica su un pianeta disabitato. Iden comincia a mostrare disprezzo per la vita organica e la situazione precipita quando decide di vendicarsi dei cacciatori Hirogeni.
