Cody je nastydlý, ale nechce brát žádné léky, protože jsou chemicky vyrobené. Snaží se léčit tělo skrze mysl meditací. Mark se trápí, protože dostal „JEN“ A a ne A+. Frank mu koupí videohry, aby jej trochu odpoutal od školy, ale ten na nich začne být závislý a zhoršuje se mu prospěch. Carol Marka pošle přes jeho odpor na “odvykací kůru“. Přestože si to nepřipouští, nakonec si svou závislost uvědomí.
Mark hat schulische Probleme. Er schreibt nur noch Einsen. Vorher hieß das Ergebnis immer Eins plus. Um seinen Stiefsohn etwas abzulenken, schenkt Frank ihm ein Videospiel. Nach kurzer Zeit ist Mark völlig besessen. So besessen, dass seine schulischen Leistungen J.T.t richtig in den Keller rutschen. Auch sonst hat sich Mark durch das Spiel ziemlich verändert. Frank und Carol melden Mark bei einer Selbsterfahrungsgruppe für Videospielsüchtige an.
Mark is depressed about getting an ""A"" on a test, rather than an ""A+."" Frank tries to loosen him up by getting him a video game. Mark does loosen up, but his grades slip, he starts fights, and he becomes addicted to the game. Frank and Carol send him to a support group. There, he recognizes his addiction and begins to work it out.
In the meantime, Cody goes to the health food store to obtain a cure for his cold. In the parking lot, he buys a booklet teaching him how to cure himself with the powers of his mind. Dana mocks him, despite the fact that using his newfound powers enable Cody to think of Karen wearing a turtleneck to hide her hickey. Dana, however, when she is unable to get rid of a cold, tries it herself (when no one else can see, of course).
Frank est ennuyé par l'attitude de son beau-fils, Mark. Ce dernier est trop obnubilé par sa scolarité et ne s'amuse pas assez pour son âge.
