Al začínají kvůli jejímu dospívání opouštět její dřívější kamarádi - spoluhráči ve fotbale - a na radu Franka se vydá hledat dívčí kamarádky. První volba ovšem dopadne špatně - zaplete se s chuligánkami. Rodině (už zase) odešla televize a tak jsou Lambertovi bez Pobřežní hlídky.
Im Hause Lambert/Foster tritt der größte anzunehmende Unfall auf: Der Fernseher gibt den Geist auf und es gilt, das entstandene Vakuum mit gemeinsamen Aktivitäten zu füllen. Im Lambert-Foster-Haushalt hat der Fernseher seinen Geist aufgegeben und die Verzweiflung ist groß. Nur Carol glaubt, dass dieser tragische Zwischenfall zu mehr gemeinsamen Familienaktivitäten führen wird. Doch frustriert muss sie das Experiment mit ihren muffelnden Lieben abbrechen. Al hat Schwierigkeiten in der Schule. Die Jungs wollen nicht mehr mit ihr spielen und mit den Mädchen ihres Alters kann sie nichts anfangen. Da ist sie erleichtert als sie Jackie, Helen und Tanya kennen lernt. Eine wilde Truppe, die in Tarnanzügen durch die Gegend läuft und sich an keine Regeln hält. Frank ist von diesem Umgang gar nicht begeistert und es kommt zum Streit. Erst als Als neue „Freundinnen“ sie zum Diebstahl von Codys Gitarre überreden wollen, wacht sie auf.
The boys at school tell Al they do not want to play with a girl; Frank tells Al to try to get more friends that are girls. Al begins to hang around with the only girls who she feels will be her friends. Al starts to wear combat uniforms, skip class, and stay out past curfew. Frank overreacts and the two get into a big argument. When Al's friends get her to steal Cody's guitar, Cody hears them and lets her take it. Cody points out to both Frank and Al that their relationship is vital.
Carol sees the TV set being temporarily out of order, as a great time to start a desperate attempt at ""Family Fun Time."" The only thing Carol is able to get them to enjoy doing together is leaving. In the end, the TV is fixed and the Lambert boys are watching Baywatch again.
Al s'intéresse trop au sport, et il a du mal à se faire des amis au sein de son école. Il a la réputation d'être fort et indépendant, réputation qui interesse trois punks indisciplinés qui l'invitent à rejoindre leur gang...
