Dana si ustavuje studijní kroužek a odmítá do něj přijmout Codyho. Ten ovšem dostane v testu lepší známky než Dana i její partneři, kteří k němu zběhnou. Al jde poprvé na rande. U JTho s radou neuspěje a musí požádat o pomoc Danu a Karen. Dana radí, aby zůstala svou a nechala kluka zajít jen tam, kam sama chce. Al dá ovšem na radu Karen u kluka neustále šplhat, za což dostane...kopačky. Frank kupuje na Carolinu žádost těhotenský test, ale až Dana odhaluje pravdu o budoucím přírůstku. carol je těhotná!

Es herrscht Aufregung im Hause Lambert-Foster. Cody schreibt im Philosophie-Kurs lauter Einsen, während die kluge Dana trotz intensiver Vorbereitung nur auf eine Drei kommt. Al hat ihr erstes Rendezvous und holt sich Tipps von der erfahrenen Karen, doch das Date wird trotzdem eine mittlere Katastrophe. Carol hat ganz andere Sorgen. Sie glaubt schwanger zu sein, was sie und Frank in einen Sturm der Gefühle stürzt. Doch dann scheint sich alles in Wohlgefallen aufzulösen. Dana arbeitet mit Cody in einer Lerngruppe und Al hat zwar ein frustrierendes Date hinter sich, ist aber um die Erfahrung reicher, dass sie sich auf Carol verlassen kann. Frank ist erleichtert, als er sieht, dass der Schwangerschaftstest negativ ausgefallen ist. Doch offensichtlich hat sein wenig ausgeprägter Kinderwunsch seinen Blick getrübt: Carol erwartet nämlich ein Kind und freut sich wahnsinnig.
Al has a date with Kevin Philips,so she seeks advice from her step-sisters.Dana tells her she needs to stand up to him and make sure he doesn't push her around.While Karen's advice is completely opposite,saying that the only way Kevin will like her is if she agrees with everything he says.Al decides unwisely to take Karen's advice.The date doesn't go fairly well,but Kevin says he doesn't want to see Al again,as he thought she was more of an independent thinker.
Meanwhile, Dana and Cody try to out compete each other in college
