The villagers of Tenali are flocking to Lakshmiamma's house to attend the wedding of her son, Rama. Meanwhile at Lakshiamma's house, preparations are in full swing for the wedding when Gunjappa, Rama's friend, notices that Rama is missing. Sharda, Rama's bride and his lover, falls unconscious upon knowing the harsh truth. Soon, the villagers begin their search for the eloped bridegroom.
Sharda is annoyed at seeing Rama continue his merry ways and living a carefree life when everyone around him is in trouble. Sharda informs Rama that Gundappa's family will go homeless if they don't repay money to a notorious loan shark. Rama assures Sharda that he will devise a way to save Gundappa and his family.
Goddess Kali appears before Tenali Rama and asks him for his wish. Tenali Rama impresses Kali with his wit and walks away with his wishes fulfilled. Then, Tenali Rama arrives in the village and ties the knot with his lady love.
Tenali Rama travels to Vijayanagara with his family. Meanwhile, the king asks his Nagar Kotwal to catch the thief who has been troubling the people in the empire or he will lose his position. Tathacharya is furious to see Tenali Rama in the town, and he comes up with a plan to teach Rama a lesson. Will Rama be able to escape from the conspiracy against him?
Tathacharya buries Tenali Rama neck-deep in mud and curses him . He manages to trick a passerby and escape. When Tathacharya discovers that Tenali Rama has escaped, he devices a plan to capture him.

Tenali Rama tries to buy time from Krishnadevaraya in order to wait for Mallu Deva and his men to arrive. After a while, when Tenali is about to get hanged, Mallu Deva sneaks out from a secret chamber and is forced to confess to his crimes.

One after the other, bad news reaches Krishnadevaraya and Tattacharya requests the King that Tenali Rama's son shouldn't stay in Vijayanagar anymore.
Tenali accepts the banishment after Tathacharya convinces Krishnadevraya that Tenali's son Prabhudeva is a bad omen for Vijaynagar so he with his entire family leaves Vijayanagar to live on the outskirts. But Tenali knows Tathacharya's intentions so forms a plan of his own.
Tathacharya is envious of Tenali Rama's son and the gifts that are being showered on the newborn. With a bad intention, Tathacharya arrives at Tenli Rama's house. Tenali Rama is aware of Tathacharya's intent and turns the table on the grand old master. Tathacharya is left red-faced and beats a hasty retreat.
Krishnadevraya announces that he is going to shower a Pandit with a lot of expensive gifts as a bonus for dedicating his life towards the welfare of the country. Tathacharya believes that the gifts are for him and gets ready to receive them the next day at the court.

Later, Surya and Chandra Rao seek justice from Krishnadevaraya. Chandra Rao had sold a well to Surya Rao. Now, Chandra Rao is cleverly manipulating the terms by stating that Surya Rao has bought the well only and not the water inside it. Tattacharya declares the judgment in favor of Chandra Rao, Now it's up to Tenali Rama to give justice to Surya Rao.
Since Chandra Rao tried to dupe Surya Rao, Krishnadevaraya asks Tenali Rama to announce the punishment for Chandra Rao. Tenali Rama asks Chandra Rao to return the money given by Surya Rao for buying the well. Meanwhile, Tenali Rama is finding it difficult to juggle between work and taking care of his newborn child.
Tenali Rama is caught snoring in the darbar. An enraged Krishnadevaraya warns Tenali Rama that if he is caught sleeping in the darbar again, he will be punished. Later, Rameshwar seeks advice from Krishnadevaraya's council about a family dispute. Rameshwar's father has passed away and he is afraid that his father's second wife will demand a share in the property. Who will solve this issue: Tenali Rama or Tattacharya?

A hill tribe comes to the court and the leader of the tribe claims that Tathacharya blessed his sister and now has to marry her according to the rules of their tribe. Pandit Rama enters the darbar trying to find Bhaskar's ornament. Tathacharya tries to find the solution to this problem.
Tathacharya's wife is furious that she hasn't be invited to Tathacharya's second marriage. Tathacharya and his bride arrive at the house to a grand welcome. Meanwhile, Amma suggests to Shardha that she should give birth to another child so that Bhaskar as a sibling to play with. Then, Dhani and Mani meet Tenali Rama and seek his help to save Tathacharya.
Tenali Rama is asked to investigate the disappearance of Tathacharya by Dhani and Mani. After much persuasion, Tenali Rama agrees and finds that Tathacharya was sedated and dragged. Meanwhile, Tathacharya is enjoying a sumptuous meal, unaware that he is about to be sacrificed.

Dhani-Mani brings a puppeteer to Tathacharya who claims that he can plan an idea in a person's mind and can change the thinking process of a person using his puppets. Tathacharya brushes him off gives him a piece of his mind. But later Tathacharya realizes that there might be some truth to the puppeteer's claim and decides to use him against Pandit Rama.
Kotwal and his wife arrive at the darbar with a problem. The Kotwal's wife has seen the puppeteer's act. Dhani and Mani inform Tathachaya that whoever has seen the puppeteer's act is mesmerized by it. Krishnadevaraya is intrigued and decide to call the puppeteer to the darbar. Unknown to Tenali Rama, Tathacharya joins hands with the puppeteer to humiliate Tenali Rama.
Tathacharya plots against Pandit Rama and invites the puppeteer to the Darbar who claims that he can manipulate anybody's thoughts through his puppet show. After the puppet show is over, Maharaj Krishnadevraya gets influenced by the show and starts doubting Pandit Rama's intentions.

Things go sideways when the dead man wakes up and attacks Maharaj Krishnadevaraya again.
An ascetic arrives at the darbar and informs about the ominous entity. The ascetic claims that he has captured the entity and reveals chilling details about the entity that leaves Krishnadevaraya shocked. Krishnadevaraya agrees to help the ascetic and asks Pandit Rama to carry out the task.
The Deadman wakes up again and this time enters Pandit Rama's house and attacks him. He realizes that the dead man is attacking everyone who is helping the ascetic so he goes to the court to plead Maharaj Krishnadevraya not to help the ascetic.
