Die meisten der 100 leben in den unterirdischen Tunnelsystemen des Mount Weather unter dem Schutz der Mountainmen. Auf Clarkes Warnung vor den Bergmenschen will man erst nicht hören, doch sie behält Recht: Die Mountainmen haben finstere Pläne, die das Leben der 100 bedrohen. Zum Glück lässt Clarke sich nicht aufhalten und schmiedet einen Plan zur Rettung. Währenddessen landet die Ark auf der Erde. Kanzler Thelonius sucht hingegen die Stadt des Lichts, in der alle Menschen sicher sein sollen und stößt auf eine künstliche Intelligenz.

The epic second season picks up with the group still scattered and desperate to be reunited. As members of The 100 and new arrivals from the Ark stake out their place in a dangerous and beautiful new world, they are confronted with the physical peril and moral dilemmas that come with reforging society. What kind of life will they build? And what will it cost them? This season’s quest will challenge them more than anything that’s come before. Hearts will be broken. Lives will be lost. Heroes will be born.

Alors que les derniers habitants de l’Arche descendent sur Terre, une partie des 48 est emmenée au Mont Weather, qui était leur objectif lors de leur arrivée, séparant Clarke du reste du groupe.
