Cliff und Clair haben von der Stadt und ihren Jobs die Nase voll. Sie wollen am Wochenende raus aufs Land. Ihre Kinder bringen sie bei Freunden und Verwandten unter. Bis auf Theo. Der reibt sich begeistert die Hände: Sturmfreie Bude und Samstagabend: Was liegt da näher als eine kleine Party. Leider läuft die völlig aus dem Ruder.

With the rest of the family gone for the night, Theo throws a "small" party that gets out of control. Troy Winbush as Denny. Reno Wilson as Howard. First appearance of Alex Ruiz as Lou. Cameo appearance by Joie Lee. Phylicia Rashād (Clair), Malcolm-Jamal Warner (Theo), Tempestt Bledsoe (Vanessa), and Elizabeth Narvaez (Kara) appear on the episode of A Different World which airs later that evening.

Cliff e Clair si preparano a partire per un fine settimana di relax nelle Poconos. Vanessa dormirà da Janet mentre Rudy andrà dai nonni e porterà con sé l'amichetto Kenny. Intanto, quando Howard e Denny scoprono che Theo avrà la casa tutta per sé, provano a convincerlo ad organizzare una festa.
