    PREMIERE of Jack's new weekly variety series. Jack's guest is singer-actor Robert Goulet. Also a feature on the new show will be film clips of the World War 2 South Pacific battlegrounds. From Paar's recent trip to the south Pacific where he met the native scout and Australian coast watcher who helped in the rescue of President Kennedy's PT 109 crew. Tonight, he's got the crew and their rescuing scout and coast watcher along for a first full scale reunion.

Highlights: Most of the program is devoted to Judy Garland who sings and reminisces about her early days in Hollywood at Metro; she gives anecdotes about her past concerts. Judy Garland and Robert Goulet, who perform a duet to "Mewsette" from their new animated movie "Gay Purr-ee". Judy also sings "Little Drips of Rain" and "Paris is a Lonely Town". Robert solos with "You Stepped Out of a Dream" and "Another Time, Another Place".

    Jack's guests are Opera singer Robert Merrill, comedian Jonathan Winters and comic-musician Woody Allen. Highlights: Robert Merrill sings "Vesti La Giubba" from Pagliacci. Woody Allen who finally makes his debut appearance after being "cut" on three previous Paar programs does a schtick about the problems of just living. Jonathan Winters (as Grandma Hobbs) does a sketch on selling Christmas cards. Plus, Film of Jack's safari in Africa last summer with his wife and daughter are shown.

Highlights: Vaughn Meader does one of his JFK routines about a dinner conversation with the family. Sally Ann Howest sings "Another Time, Another Place". Plus, film showing how Christmas looks in leading cities abroad.

Highlights: Jack introduces some satirical numbers from a supper club revue you're likely to enjoy. One deals with the "inside" story of how the missile "Thor" got its name and another "Barry's Boys" is a young conservatives spoof.

    Jack's guests are actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, singer Florence Henderson and Randy Paar. Highlights: A British Broadcasting company spoof about "the spaghetti tree". This one has bits of everything, from Zsa Zsa to My Fair Lady in German. Jack taped this one without an audience so he takes you around the studio for a behind-the-scenes look at the mechanics of TV. In the process, you'll see a tape machine and a bit of tape you've seen before about a language joke; clips of film he took in a helicopter flying over the Acropolis in Athens and the Coliseum in Rome; a film of an interview Randy Paar made with some Japanese students and a cute piece of business about putting a number together with Florence Henderson.

    Jack's guests are "Candid Camera's" Allen Funt, songstress Helen O'Connell, Gene Sheldon and humorist Sam Levenson. Highlights: Jack shows films of the Brooklyn school where Levenson once taught. Funt shows his favorite "Candid Camera" shots of unsuspecting subjects.

    Jack's guests are pianist Oscar Levant, comedian Jackie Mason and Tom and Dick Smothers of the Smothers Brothers. Highlights: Levant discusses his health, politicians and Hollywood personalities. Mason's monolog deals with the lessons his grandfather taught him. The Smothers Brothers give their version of a Brazilian folk song. Jack shows a film how Italians express themselves with their hands.

    Jack's guests are comedian-actor George Burns, singer Pearl Bailey and actor Hans Conried. Highlights: George Burns regales stories of show biz in the good ole days in vaudeville. Pearl Bailey sings a medley with "Small World", "In San Francisco" and "Some of These Days". In a filmed segment Abraham Lincoln (portrayed by Hans Conried) conducts a press conference for a group of schoolchildren.

    Jack's guests are stage and film actor Peter Ustinov, comic actor Shelley Berman and singer Florence Henderson who makes her third appearance. Highlights: One of the filmed sequences illustrates the remarkable expressiveness of the hands of the people of Rome, while the other takes a look at an elephant and a rhino in Africa being tested in the cause of wildlife preservation.

    Jack Paar's guests are guitarist Les Paul and vocalist Mary Ford, humorist-author Alexander King, comedian Dick Gregory, the remarkable psychic Criswell and a return visit from the cast of Broadway's "Beyond the Fringe" who only do two short pieces. Highlights: Criswell made an amazing forecast on "The Jack Paar Program" on March 10, 1963: "I predict that President Kennedy will not run for re-election in 1964, because of something that will happen to him in November 1963."

    Jack's guests are former Vice-President Richard M. Nixon, singer Helen O'Connell and Dr. John C. Lilly. Highlights: Helen O'Connell sings "Fly Me to the Moon". Former Vice-President Richard M. Nixon makes his first network TV appearance since last November, when he lost a hard-fought contest for the Governorship of California. Mr. Nixon has given Jack carte blanche on question topics; matters personal, political, National and international are to be covered. Neuro-Psychologist John C. Lilly, shows films about his research on dolphins and how they communicate.

    Jack's guests are singer-actress Liza Minnelli, comedian-actor Don Adams, French singer Genevieve, puppeteer Jim Henson and Jane Henson and The Muppets. Highlights: Liza sings "The Way You Look Tonight" and "You Can't Take That Away From Me". Genevieve sings a medley of Irish songs. Don Adams does a routine as a defense attorney - TV The Muppets perform "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face". In a film segment Randy Paar conducts interviews with British and Irish children.

Highlights: Hays who is about to embark on a six country African tour, discusses the humorous side of politics. Charles Aznavour sings "You've Let Yourself Go".

Highlights: Nat King Cole sings "All Over the World". Robert Morse and Charles Nelson Reilly offer "Honest Mistake" from their hit Broadway play "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying". Bob Newhart tells his buddy on the phone how to dismantle a bomb.

    Jack's guests are Gospel singer Mahalia Jackson, actor Robert Ryan, newsman-author Jim Bishop and Jack's daughter Randy Paar. Highlights: Mahalia Jackson provides an Easter atmosphere with her holiday spirituals. Jim Bishop is on hand to add scholarship and research to the story of the life of Christ with his own writings of "Day Christ Died". More home movies, this time of Jack's trip through the Holy Land.

Highlights: Liberace performs his version of "The Twist". Liberace shows films of his palatial West Coast residence. Jack shows films of his family at home.

Earl Wrightson sings "They Call the Wind Maria". Plus, Paar has some interesting films to show on a post World War II "cult" and one on lion cubs.
