Ein Raumschiff von der Erde stürzt über der Venus ab. Die Astronauten Kate Girard und Scott Perkins untersuchen das Wrack. Nur Captain Miles Davidow hat das Unglück überlebt. Zurück auf der Erde kommt Miles in Quarantäne. Keiner kann sich erklären, wie er in der Atmosphäre der Venus überleben konnten. In einer Art künstlichem Tiefschlaf verbrauchte er nur minimal Sauerstoff. Als alles geklärt zu sein scheint, beginnt sich sein Körper auf seltsame Weise zu verändern.
When a transport ship crashed and wiped out the colony on Venus, Capt. Miles Davidow (C. Thomas Howell) was the sole survivor. But, after he's rescued by a team that includes his fiancee, Kate Girard (Amanda Tapping) and Scott Perkins (Jeffrey Jones), it soon becomes clear that Davidow did not escape unscathed. Removed from the high radiation atmosphere of Venus, his body is reacting to the Earth's air like that of a chemotherapy patient. When doctors give him the radiation his body seems to crave, strange things start to happen. Davidow's body begins to spawn duplicate parts - a hand, a torso and more from wounds that miraculously heal. In spite of this, Miles and Kate get married while he's still in isolation, but his time on Venus and the strange creatures he encountered there have had a profound change on Miles.
Quand un vaisseau rempli de provisions s'est écrasé, causant la mort de la colonie résidant sur Venus, le capitaine Miles Davidow, fut le seul à en réchapper. Depuis les radiations qu'il a connu sur Venus, son corps semble mal s'adapter sur terre, les docteurs lui donnent alors la dose dont il a besoin mais les choses commencent à changer...
Unos astronautas llegan a una base situada en Venus en la que todos sus miembros murieron hace 7 meses por causas desconocidas y se disponen a buscar posibles causas entre los restos. Sorprendentemente descubren que uno de los miembros aún se mantiene con vida.
