הסדרה מספרת על חוברת חיות המאונשות לתלמידי בית ספר, שיחד עם גחליל בשם מאור מקימים להקה. כשהם בלהקה, המשתתפים צריכים לתת ולקבל תשומת לב, להתייחס לכולם בצורה הדדית ולכבד את כולם - דבר שלא קל. במהלך הסדרה חברי הלהקה לומדים ערכים בנושא אהבה, אחראיות וכבוד לאחר. במהלך פרקי הסדרה יש שירים המבוצעים על ידי דמויות הסדרה.
