Captain Toti interprets the Imperial Japanese Navy Midget HA-19 launched by IJN Submarine I-24

This IJN Midget submarine is on display at the National Museum of the Pacific War (the Nimitz Museum), George H. W. Bush Gallery, in Fredericksburg, TX. This submarine was launched by IJN submarine I-24 during the attack on Pearl Harbor, later grounding at Bellows Beach on Oahu resulting in the capture of Prisoner of War #1, Ensign Kazuo Sakamaki. The torpedo officer of I-24 who launched HA19 on December 7, 1941 was Lieutenant Mochitsura Hashimoto, later commanding officer of the I-58 that sunk USS Indianapolis (CA-35) on July 30, 1945.
