In this video, Captain Toti reviews the circumstances surrounding, and tours location of, Captain Charles B. McVay III's suicide. As our viewers undoubtedly know, McVay was the commanding officer of the USS Indianapolis (CA-35) when it was sunk on July 30, 1945, he was court-martialed for that sinking, and eventually committed suicide on November 6, 1968. The video includes a tour of the house where McVay lived the final few years of his life, and where he ended his life. Bill also reads part of the police report that outlines the investigation following the suicide. Please note that because this video discusses suicide, YouTube has put an age restriction on it. Apparently if you prepare a video intended to sensitize people to the high incidence of military suicides, YouTube doesn't want you to see it.
