Tasked by Xiao Wu Yang to eliminate the Huben, Xie Huai’an, a brilliant official from Huainan, saw his chance for revenge - Yan Feng Shan had killed his father, and he had spent a decade preparing. Xie Huai An est un brillant officier originaire du pays de Huai Nan. Après avoir reçu un décret de l'Empereur, ce dernier est directement envoyé à la capitale Chang An afin d'éliminer les traitres. Il y voit alors rapidement en cette opportunité l'occasion parfaite de venger la mort de son père.
Avec l'aide du général Gu Yu, de l'épéiste Ye Zheng, de la peintre Bai Guan, de la stratégiste Han Zi Ling et d'autres encore, ils vont lutter ensemble et faire en sorte de ramener la paix à la capitale.
