Nike, die vierte Prinzessin des Regen-Herzogtums und mit der Macht geboren den Regen heraufbeschwören zu können, reist zum Sonnen-Königreich, um den Sonnenkönig Livius zu heiraten. Sie tut das für ihr Land und Volk auch wenn sie eine große Abneigung verspürt. Doch wer ist der Mann, der in nur drei Jahren nach seiner Besteigung des Throns die Welt erobert hat? Er ist noch ein Kind, wie Nike bald feststellt. Eine seltsame Zeit beginnt für sie, denn der König findet Gefallen an ihrer Kraft, den Regen beschwören zu können.

In the Sun Kingdom, sunshine is part of its citizens' everyday lives, and rain is something that they have never even heard of. However, in a faraway land called the Rain Dukedom, the weather is reversed, and everybody has the power to create rain with their voices. Livius Ifrikia has conquered the entire world and expanded the Sun Kingdom's influence in the three short years since he was crowned king. Upon learning about the powers to create rain, Livius decides to marry Nike Remercier, one of the princesses of the Rain Dukedom. However, those outside the Sun Kingdom have spread a rumor that Livius is a cruel, ruthless, and tyrannical ruler, and as word reaches the princess, she begins to prepare herself for the worst. But when she finally meets her fiancé, Nike discovers that he is an entirely different person from what she originally expected.

Nike, la quatrième princesse du pays de la Pluie, détient le pouvoir de faire tomber la pluie. Elle se rend seule au royaume du Beau Temps, en dépit de ses réticences, afin d'épouser le Roi Soleil, Livius, par devoir envers son peuple. Elle découvre que le Roi, qui a conquis plusieurs régions en seulement quatre ans de règne, n'est encore qu'un jeune garçon ! Bien que tout les oppose au premier abord, ils vont apprendre à se connaître et de nouveaux sentiments vont se développer entre les deux adolescents de lignée royale. Mais cet idylle naissant sera-t-il suffisamment fort pour résister aux complots et autres dangers qui se trament dans l'obscurité ?

Nike Lemercier, la quarta principessa del ducato della pioggia, nonché una delle poche persone al mondo in grado di evocare la pioggia, nonostante la propria riluttanza si dirige verso il regno del sole per sposare il re sole Livius per il bene del suo paese. Nike scopre ben presto però che il re, colui che ha conquistato il mondo intero in soli tre anni dalla sua ascesa al trono, non è nient'altri che un bambino, il quale, dopo averle chiesto di evocare la pioggia senza alcuna ragione valida e dopo aver ricevuto da lei una risposta negativa, non esita a sbatterla subito in prigione. La storia segue lo sviluppo della relazione tra i due, che in un primo momento sposati solo formalmente, iniziano ad essere uniti a poco a poco da un legame affettivo sempre più forte.
