In the season premiere, Grade 8 student Dusan begins to test his boundaries within the newfound freedom of high school. In one week, he ditches school and lies about it, releases a stink bomb in class, and claims he has a taser for sale. After multiple detentions don’t work, Vice Principal Blake Buemann must find an alternative way to connect with Dusan. Last year, Grade 9 students Maddy and Veronica were best friends, but this year Veronica is hanging out with the popular girls—and Maddy isn’t. Underlying resentments boil to the surface when a rumour triggers a firestorm of social media insults and bullying, jeopardizing the girls' changing friendship. Now, school counsellors Susan Dumbrell and Susan Lidster must untangle what happened and work with the students to move forward.
