Heute soll das neue Seemuseum auf Sodor eröffnet werden. Als Ehrengast ist ein Admiral geladen, den Thomas zum Seemuseum fahren darf. Doch am Hafen erzählt Salty Thomas von einem alten Seeräuberschatz, der auf Sodor versteckt sein soll. Thomas möchte zu gerne den Schatz finden und macht sich auf die Suche - mit dem Admiral an Bord. Inzwischen wartet Sir Topham Hatt händeringend auf den Ehrengast, der das Seemuseum eröffnen soll. Ungeduldig schickt Sir Hatt Harold los. Der übernimmt von Thomas den Admiral, damit Thomas weiter seinen Schatz suchen kann. Wie froh ist Thomas, als er wirklich den alten Piratenschatz in der Nähe des neuen Museums findet.
A Maritime Museum is to be opened on Sodor, by an Admiral. When Thomas picks him up from Brendam Docks, Salty tells Thomas the story about long lost treasure belonging to pirates, and also gives the clues as to where it has been buried somewhere on the Island. Unfortunately for the Admiral, this means he will be late for the opening, as Thomas becomes simply enraptured by the idea and can’t stop thinking about it for the whole journey! Most annoyed by distracted little Thomas terribly delaying the Admiral, the Fat Controller arranges for him to be transported by Harold the Helicopter instead. Despite this, Thomas decides he will find that treasure.
Na wyspie ma zostać otwarte muzeum morskie. Sylwek opowiada o skarbie, który piraci dano temu zakopali na wyspie. Tomek postanawia odszukać ten skarb. Inne lokomotywy nie wierzą w jego istnienie. W chwili otwarcia muzeum, Tomek przypomina sobie wskazówki Sylwka. Znajduje miejsce, w którym zakopano skarb. Kosztowności stają się atrakcją muzeum.
