Als die Therapeutin Dr. Laurie Poole im Londoner Büro der "Cold Case Unit" erscheint, ahnt noch niemand aus dem Team um Peter Boyd, dass sich damit ein neuer Mordfall ankündigt, der sich bereits vor vielen Jahren zugetragen hat und offenbar niemals bis ans Licht der Öffentlichkeit gedrungen ist.
