啟修跟莫凡都是醫學院的菁英，同時都愛上教授的女兒逸寧。雖然逸寧跟莫凡是青梅竹馬，但是她選擇了跟啟修在一起。不幸地逸寧跟她死去的母親罹患一樣的絕症，啟修、莫凡跟教授都對這個病束手無策之際，莫凡得到逸寧的同意，隱瞞了啟修跟教授而幫逸寧動手術，令逸寧進入長期休眠的狀態，等到有一天找到醫治這個絕症的方法才把她救醒。八年後，啟修在醫院裡當上主任，而莫凡就走遍世界各地尋找醫治的方法。究竟逸寧會得救嗎？
