Ivan Koloff was a professional wrestler best known in the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF/WWF) as a dominant heel during the 1970s and 1980s. He famously ended Bruno Sammartino’s historic WWWF World Heavyweight Championship reign in 1971, one of the biggest upsets in wrestling history. Koloff later became a key villain in tag team and singles competition, often portraying a Cold War–era antagonist in major WWF events, including Madison Square Garden cards.
