Professor Toru Tanaka was a professional wrestler best known in the World Wrestling Federation during the 1970s and 1980s as a martial arts–styled heel. He found major success in the tag team division, winning the WWF Tag Team Championship alongside Mr. Fuji. Known as a disciplined “professor” character, Tanaka also appeared in the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) in a minor, uncredited role.
