Lanny Poffo was a professional wrestler best known in the World Wrestling Federation during the 1980s and early 1990s. A highly educated and athletic competitor, he later performed as “The Genius,” a poetic heel character who recited rhymes before matches. Poffo was also the brother of Randy Savage and was closely associated with Curt Hennig through various WWF storylines and alliances, regularly appearing on Madison Square Garden cards as both a singles and tag team competitor.
