Die junge Anna verliebt sich im Urlaub mit den Italiener Totò. Er folgt ihr nach Deutschland und versucht sich mit den ungewohnten Verhältnissen zu arrangieren. Doch als Totò bei Anna in Deutschland eintrifft, ist sie wieder in ihrem Umfeld gefangen und reagiert so verklemmt wie ihr Milieu.
