La betìa ovvero in amore, per ogni gaudenza, ci vuole sofferenza

Un povero bracciante, Zilio, vuole sposare Betìa, la figlia di una ricca contadina. Dopo l'ennesimo rifiuto Zilio è disperato, ma Nale, amante della giovane, combina un matrimonio di facciata tra i due, convinto di poterne approfittare. Dopo la cerimonia, però il legittimo marito accoltella Nale che pare morto, ma in realtà prepara uno scherzo alla coppia.

A poor laborer, Zilio, wants to marry Betìa, the daughter of a rich peasant woman. After number of refusals Zilio is desperate, but Nale, a young lover, combines a frontal marriage between the two, convinced they can take advantage of it. After the ceremony, however, the legitimate husband stabs Nale who seemingly dies, but actually prepares a joke for the couple.
