UC 0097, un an après l’ouverture de la Boite LaPlace. Malgré la révélation de la charte originale du Siècle Universel, qui reconnaît l’existence des NewTypes et leurs droits, le monde n’a pas vraiment changé. Après la destruction des forces de Neo Zeon, connues sous le nom des Manchettes, l'Incident LaPlace semble avoir pris fin. Durant la bataille finale, les Mobile Suits équipés de Full Psycho Frame ont démontré des capacités phénoménales. La menace de la Licorne Blanche et du Lion d’Ébène ont, quant à elles, été écartées de la conscience collective et oubliées par l’Histoire. Cependant, des apparitions du RX-0 Unicorn 03, supposé perdu deux ans auparavant, sont signalées. Son nom est Phenex, l’oiseau immortel.
