In un futuro prossimo Taranto è diventata una città fantasma in cui nessuno osa entrare. I più poveri sono rimasti a lottare per la sopravvivenza, mentre le bande si contendono il territorio. Pietro e Christian, due tredicenni orfani cresciuti insieme, sognano di unirsi alla gang capeggiata dal carismatico Testacalda.

Dans un futur proche, les ravages de la pollution ont complètement décimé la Terre. Pietro, surnommé Mondocane, et son copain Cristian souffrant d’épilepsie ont grandi ensemble dans ce monde apocalyptique. Ils rêvent d’échapper à leur vie misérable loin des ruines de la ville. Leur plan est de rejoindre les Fourmis, un gang de jeunes violents emmené par le terrifiant Tête brûlé. Leur amitié est mise à rude épreuve et leur destin bouleversé à jamais !
