Terry Nelson is visiting Taos, New Mexico to see the father who abandoned her, Preston King, an author, but she does not know where he lives. At an Art Gallery, she chats up the owner, Reynaldo "Reggie" Gonzales. She asks him about Preston, and he offers to take her to his house but Preston is not home. Terry has flashbacks of her mother, Emily, telling her that her father abandoned them when she was 2 years old. Terry believes her dad loves her, but Emily tries to tell her differently, because she is bitter and hates men. Preston gets home, as Terry lurks nearby, ready to enact her plan to ruin his life as revenge for abandoning her.
