Die etwas pummelige Münchnerin Marianne (Marriane Sägebrecht) führt ein einsames und ödes Leben und arbeitet in einem Bestattungsinstitut. Eines Tages wird sie auf dem Weg zur Arbeit aus ihrem monotonen Alltag gerissen, als sie die Stimme des U-Bahn-Schaffners Eisi (Eisi Gulp) hört und sich in diese verliebt. Marianne versucht alles über ihren Traummann herauszubekommen und ist fest entschlossen ihn für sich zu gewinnen...
