Takashima Gara was born on March 2, 1954 in Tokyo, Japan. She is a veteran voice actress who is currently affiliated with Haikyou. Previous to that she was a member of Haikyou until April, 2008 and afterwards Across Entertainment until October, 2009, then she goes freelance until again joining Haikyou in 2010.
