Ασχολείται με την ιστορία της Μαργαρίτη, της κόρης της Ειρήνης και του γιου της, Αντώνη, που αναγκάζονται, κατόπιν διαταγής, να μεταναστεύσουν από το χωριό τους στη Θεσσαλονίκη, στο Καραβάν Σαράι, σε ένα εγκαταλελειμμένο κτίριο που είχε διαταχθεί να στεγάσει τους πρόσφυγες, στο 1949, προς το τέλος του Εμφυλίου.
