The malicious magician

The Legendaries help a merchant attacked by highwaymen who they rout. To thank them, the latter offers them a hermetic case that belonged, according to what he knows, to a famous magician. Our friends manage to unlock the secret of the case by answering an enigma. A scroll inside the case informs them that the object belonged, well before the disaster of Jovénia, to the magician Farsa Trappe. The latter, renowned for his inventions and malicious tricks, confesses that he owned the Créscia stone and that he hid it in a safe place. He invites in his will the heroes worthy of the stone to go in search of him.

Les Légendaires portent secours à un marchand attaqué par des bandits de grand chemin qu’ils mettent en déroute. Pour les remercier, ce dernier leur offre un étui hermétique ayant appartenu, d’après ce qu’il sait, à un célèbre magicien. Nos amis parviennent à percer le secret de l’étui en répondant à une énigme. Un parchemin à l’intérieur de l’étui les informe que l’objet a appartenu, bien avant le désastre de Jovénia, au magicien Farsa Trappe. Ce dernier, réputé pour ses inventions et ses tours malicieux, confesse qu’il a possédé la pierre de Créscia et qu’il l’a caché en lieu sûr. Il invite dans son testament les héros dignes de la pierre de partir à sa recherche.
