制作会社のドラマディレクター・高杉篤郎（ムロツヨシ）は、渾身の企画を盗用した上司に罵倒されたことに激怒して会社を辞める。さらに、1000万円の借 金まで背負う羽目になり、アシスタントディレクターの園部優斗（山崎育三郎）と共に、ある金持ちの犬の誘拐計画を企てる。本気とも冗談ともつかないテン ションで密談を進めていると、謎のアラサー女子・三上菜摘子（黒川芽以）が突然、家に上がり込んできて大混乱に。そんな中、ターゲットにしていた家の子 供・渋井巧まで現れ、「どうせなら僕を誘拐すれば」と提案される。さらに、“ジョン・レノン”を名乗る男から電話が入り、「巧を誘拐した。犯人はあなたで す」と告げられる。
