中年女人张春梅的生活在外人看来堪称完美，儿子以优异的成绩考上重本；老公是教授、博导，事业有成风头正健；她自己在杂志社副主编正有望再升一级，有房有车有存款。可实际上，春梅的苦只有她自己知道。中年毫无征兆地到来，跟着一起来的，还有危机，丈夫伟强失踪了。春梅盘点各种蛛丝马迹，认定伟强出轨，然而当伟强终于好似想通回家的时候，却向春梅提出离婚。当然，中年的危机可不止这一桩，当重重困难砸在春梅头上的时候，她开始思考要如何应对生活压力下的工作与家庭，如何让自己坦然面对老去。
