Batman and Ted Kord (the second Blue Beetle) try to regain the scarab from Jarvis Kord to whom Ted Kord lent it in order to find a way to get it to work. Two years later, the current Blue Beetle researches his roots following Batman's battle with Doctor Polaris. This leads him to Hub City and the lair of the Blue Beetle. Using Ted's Bug vehicle, Jaime finds himself on Science Island where he encounters Jarvis Kord (who is posing as Ted Kord). He asks the Beetle to activate an army of peaceful robots. His true goal is conquer the world and put an end to all the wars.

Usando a Nave Inseto de Ted, Jaime encontra-se na Ilha da Ciência, onde ele encontra Jarvis Kord (que está se passando por Ted Kord). Ele pede o escaravelho ao Besouro para ativar um exército de robôs pacificadores. Seu verdadeiro objetivo é conquistar o mundo e pôr fim às guerras.
dos años después, el actual Blue Beetle investiga sus raíces tras la batalla de Batman con el Doctor Polaris . Esto lo lleva a Hub City y a la guarida del Blue Beetle. Usando el vehículo Bug de Ted, Jaime se encuentra en Science Island donde se encuentra con Jarvis Kord (que se hace pasar por Ted Kord). Le pide al Beetle que active un ejército de robots pacíficos.
