The police discover that there are no signs of forced entry at No. 4, which sickens Mavis. The burglars take the TV, radio, video, carriage clock,Derek's cuff links, Mavis' chain and locket and the Wedgwood ornaments. Derek accuses Percy of leaving the door unlocked and then blames Alec for the break-in and threatens him with legal action. Mavis feels her house has been contaminated and refuses to stay at No. 4, so Rita puts her up, while Percy is determined to find the burglars.
