The participants lands in Durango in Mexico. The biggest threat is the heat and dangerous animals. They are divided into two teams, the blue and red. Now the teams have o compete to get to civilisation in the shortest time without any aids.
This week put the participants in Alaska's fabled wilderness. Without food, map or compass, they spend several days out in the wilderness and in teams compete to get herself to civilization.
The participants are left in Malaysia's deepest jungle and none of them have previously been in a similar environment. It will be a tough task for them to get from wilderness to civilization in the shortest time. One of the teams have had bad luck in the previous races and now wants to take revenge, the question is whether they will succeed.
It's time for the final stage in the greatest adventure and the five remaining participants are left in the Namib Desert in Namibia. The oppressive heat, the sun and the difficulty of finding something to eat are some of the obstacles that must be overcome. Participants now no longer compete in the team but individually as they battle for the title of year's adventurer.
Ten sports stars will in two teams compete to get fastest back to civilization from wilderness. The team that will eventually make up about who gets to leave the race. The participant who can handle the hardships best will stand as the definitive winner.
The remaining contestants take on the most desolate and barren mountain massif in the world, the Quebrada del Yeso. It will be a tough challenge for the teams and both suffer from problems down the road and it becomes a struggle into the finish line.
The teams will be released in the middle of nowhere in the Himalayas near Annapurna and will get to walk to civilization.
Participants have now come to Kenya and Aberdare located on the high plateau middle of the country. There is a mix of rain forest and grass that must be rushed to reach civilization here. There is plenty of wildlife around the area so you have to be careful. As usual it is the team that first reaches civilization and loads his phone to call the base camp wins.
Participants are placed on the savannah in Il Ngwesi. The red team has only two participants against the blue team's three participants. They will try to find civilization so that they can charge their phone and call the base camp. The winners of this program go on to the finals.
It's the final of the Det största Äventyret. Four participants will become one. Now they do not compete in teams anymore, but all vying for himself and to win the final.
Deltagarna lämnas på savannen i Lekurruki i Kenya. Utan varken mat, karta eller kompass ska de tillbringa ett dygn ute i obygden och i en landskamp mellan Sverige och Norge tävla om att ta sig först till civilisationen. Det lag som misslyckas får göra upp i en utslagstävling.
De kvarvarande deltagarna släpps i Mukogodo-skogen, ett kuperat område med tät skog. Nu gäller det att utan karta och kompass ta sig till civilisationen. Det är svårt att navigera och dessutom råkar ett av lagen springa rakt in i ett farligt djurområde.
Lagen möts i en tävling där det vinnande laget får ett försprång på 30 minuter men det goda humöret sätts på prov i den tuffa terrängen. Lagen ska utan karta och kompass navigera sig genom Boranas grässavann där lejon, leoparder, bufflar, elefanter och noshörningar strövar omkring.
Magsjuka och en skada försätter ett lag i ett svagare utgångsläge men en åtråvärd fördel står på spel i fördelstävlingen. I stekande sol och utan karta och kompass lämnas deltagarna på berget Shurdega. Vägvalet ner för bergets förrädiska lösa stenar och buskar med vassa taggar kan vara avgörande.
Landskampen fortsätter nu i Nepal och den första etappen avgörs i området kring Bardia nationalpark. Här utmanas deltagarna av en ny typ av djungelliknande terräng bland svårpasserade flodbäddar och branta berg. Det lag som misslyckas med att nå civilisationen får göra upp i en utslagstävling.
Finalen närmar sig och den viktigaste fördelstävlingen hittills väntar. Lagen lämnas i floddeltat kring Karnalifloden i Nepal. Terrängen är tuff och allt från tigrar till krokodiler vandrar fritt i området. Det är lätt att hamna på villovägar vilket leder till dispyter i lagen.
Finalen närmar sig och deltagarna fokuserar mer på sig själva. En fördelstävling ger återigen ett av lagen en viktig fördel i vandringen. De tävlande lämnas i Nepalesiska Bhabhar skogen för sista vandringen och det lag som misslyckas med uppdraget får göra upp i en utslagstävling.
