2023年3月。18歳になった仲川有栖（福原遥）は、最愛の亡き母の影響で、美術館の学芸員となり、いつかは海外で活躍できるキュレーターになることを夢見て、大学に進学し父親の市郎（安田顕）の元を離れて一人暮らしをすることが決まっていた。だが、迎えた高校卒業の日、有栖は自分が予期せぬ妊娠をしていることを知る。卒業パーティーを抜け出し、大学生の彼氏である麻生康介（八木勇征）に妊娠を告げると･･･。
一方、成瀬瞳子（深田恭子）は現代アートを扱う会社でアートとビジネスを繋ぐ仕事をする優秀なアートスペシャリストだ。40歳を目前に控える中、娘の将来を心配する母の貴美子（片平なぎさ）から来る「孫を抱きたい」「結婚はまだか」という連絡に辟易していた。
