Mit seinem letzten Film „Head On“ gelang Vincent Chase ein großer Hit, der im ganzen Land Erfolg verbuchen konnte. Mit auf seinem Weg zum Filmstar sind seine nun von ihm abhängigen Freunde Eric und Turtle, welche mit Vince in Queens aufgewachsen sind, und sein Bruder Johnny Drama. Die Jungs verbringen die meiste Zeit damit, in Vinces Haus in Hollywood Hills zu entspannen, Golf zu spielen und sich mit Mädchen am Pool zu vergnügen. Aber um den Lebensstil aufrechtzuerhalten, muss Vince weiter Filme machen. Sein Agent Ari denkt, er hat das richtige Projekt gefunden: Den Actionfilm „Matterhorn“. Vincent Chase is a young, hot, up-and-coming actor living in Hollywood. Tonight, he must attend the opening of his latest movie "Head On". At the post-premiere party, Vince's agent, Ari, hassles Eric about getting Vince to read the script for a possible new project. Over breakfast, Vince says he's not going to do "Matterhorn" on Eric's advice. The foursome goes to meet with the director where Vince impresses him so much that Ari calls later to tell him that they've offered $4 million for the part. While Turtle & Drama celebrate, Vince lets him know that Eric is not too enthused about the script. Later, Ari & Eric share a rather confrontational dinner while discussing the future of their star's career.

Vince, un actor que disfruta del éxito de su última película, decide llevarse a su mansión de Hollywood a dos de sus amigos de la infancia, Eric y Turttle, y a su hermanastro, Johnny Drama. El mismo día del estreno de la película de Vince, sus amigos intentan convencerle para acudir a la reunión de antiguos alumnos del instituto. Mientras, Vince, siguiendo los consejos de Eric, decide no trabajar en la película que su agente le ha propuesto. Por otro lado, Turttle, encargado del mantenimiento de la mansión, compra un Rottweiler al que llama Arnold para la seguridad del hogar, sin embargo domesticar a este perro no le resultará una tarea fácil.

Blivande stjärnskådisen Vincents senaste film ska snart gå upp på biograferna. Före den stora premiärkvällen lunchar han med sina tre barndomsvänner från Queens som vill att han ska följa med på deras gamla skolas återföreningsträff.
