1972: Inspired by Robertino Loretti, 12-year-old Yura from Lyubertsy starts singing despite peer and adult skepticism about it being a manly pursuit. With guidance from his music teacher Varvara, Yura hones his talent and auditions for the Pavlov Choir. The choir's leader has a month to prepare a new program for the "Song of the Year" TV festival.
