Guillaume Seznec et Pierre Quéméneur s'associent pour vendre des voitures aux Soviétiques. C'est alors que le second disparait brutalement, alors qu'il était en voiture avec le premier à une trentaine de kilomètres de Paris. Le corps ne sera jamais retrouvé. Rapidement, Seznec devient le principal suspect et est envoyé au bagne à perpétuité, alors que rien n'indiquait de manière claire qu'il était le coupable.
