We are introduced to the twelve men competing to become the first ever Mr. Romance. In the coming weeks, they will be attending the Romance Academy in order to prepare them for the Mr. Romance pageant. In this first episode, Professor Deb Peterson teaches the contestants how to do the alpha male and almost kiss poses. The contestants also go through pageant education with Coach Rich Devin, where they create and rehearse poses for the pose down portion of the pageant. The test for this week is a Wild West photo shoot where each contestant completes fifteen photos in three different shots. The alpha male pose is by himself and the "surrender" and "almost kiss" poses are with a model. There appears to be a rivalry growing between Mark and Andrew.
