Lloyd discusses conducting styles with the celebrated Martyn Brabbins while comedian Rachel Parris finds out what it’s like to play Queen Victoria’s own piano with Stephen Hough.

    Katie Derham is joined by tenor Allan Clayton, soprano Nadine Benjamin and beatboxer Jason Singh as Proms Encore focusses on ‘the voice’. Tenor Jeffrey Lloyd Roberts investigates different singing styles and Tom Service takes maestro Semyon Bychkov on a musical car journey in an Austin Maestro. And there is a genre-mixing finale as Jason samples Nadine’s voice for a bandstand performance.

    Hosted by Katie Derham, Proms Encore is a magazine programme to accompany the BBC Proms. Located at a specially constructed bandstand directly opposite London's Royal Albert Hall, it features live performances and special guests. Katie Derham is joined on the bandstand by legendary jazz pianist Monty Alexander, conductor Ilan Volkov and music historian Dr Hannah French for a special celebrating the 150th birthday of Proms co-founder Sir Henry Wood. YolanDa Brown explores Wood’s legacy and Tom Service takes another maestro for a musical chat in an Austin Maestro – this time it is Heritage Orchestra chief conductor Jules Buckley.
