Frank se uchází o místo sportovního komentátora místní kabelovky. Na konkursu ovšem dostane takovou trému, že je k nepoužití. Zprávy proto musí zachraňovat Carol a jelikož se nikdo jiný nepřihlásil, místo získává. To je, zcela pochopitelně, Frankovi proti srsti. Děti mezi sebou bojují o všechno nezdravé jídlo, které si musí kupovat ze svého, protože Carol je jen přes zdravou stravu.
Franks Jugendtraum Sportkommentator zu werden, rückt in greifbare Nähe. Ein Fernsehsender will einen Amateur als Kommentator einstellen und Frank bewirbt sich sofort. Doch sein Debüt misslingt gründlich und zum Schluss muss sogar Carol für ihn einspringen. Die hat zwar auch nicht mehr Talent, bezaubert aber mit ihrem Charme und bekommt den Job. Diese Entscheidung des Senders droht, eine Ehekrise auszulösen. Um den Ehefrieden nicht zu stören, verzichtet Carol. Die beiden sprechen sich aus, und alles wird gut. Als nächstes versucht sich Cody an der Aufgabe und auch er scheitert kläglich.
Eine weiteres Problem droht den Familienfrieden zu erschüttern: Carol ist auf den Gesundheitstrip und serviert nur noch Biokost. Für Süßigkeiten und Junkfood müssen die Kids nun ihr Taschengeld aufbringen. Das führt bis zu hinterlistigem Essensdiebstahl und nur eine große Essenschlacht kann jetzt noch die Fronten klären.
When a part time Sportscaster job becomes available, Frank's old visions of being a great announcer come back. He chokes and Carol gets the job which bums him out seeing himself stuck in an endless life of average. He snaps out of it when Carol tells him that to her he is a superstar. Ironically, when Carol denies the job, Cody ends up with it.
Carol's health food kick has the kids buying their own junk food. This causes JT and Al to patrol the kitchen and endless fights over stealing each other's junk food. Finally, a food fight breaks out and when Cody tries to break it up, he is attacked from all sides. As a funny side note, in the middle of all this JT put glue in Dana's conditioner.
Carol se voit offrir le poste d'entraîneur sportif que Frank convoitait. Pendant ce temps, les enfants entreprennent de changer les habitudes alimentaires de la maison...
