Kevin Keegan talks frankly about his struggles within the national side and the uproar when coach Bobby Robson dropped the then England captain following his only appearance in the World Cup finals in 1982. Gary Lineker emerged as the new star striker, helping England to a World Cup quarter-final against Argentina, in which Diego Maradona claimed his infamous "hand of God" goal. James Bolam narrates.

    The last of three films for the run-up to Euro 2000. 1986-2000. Italia 90 saw the rebirth of English football as the team reached the semi-finals but lost in a penalty shoot-out to Germany amid a flood of tears from Paul Gascoigne. Subsequently England were hosts for the emotive Euro 96 tournament, when Germany again proved to be the nemesis ofthe three lions. Gascoigne, Graham Taylor and Alan Shearer are among those reliving the highs and lows of 1986-98. James Bolam narrates.
